Got my birth year Harley 1976 FLH

Congrats! Post some pictures when you get the touch ups finished.

Very cool - learned to ride on a 76 FLH, my dad still has it too

Few updates. Nothing major...got it on the lift. Found out my lift (jack) took a dump. But still swapped out the riser bushings and the derby cover. OG one had a wallowed out hole. Waiting onna front master cylinder rebuild kit and a few other parts.

Rebuilt front brake master cylinder tonight. Hope that holds up. Noticed the throttle cable is pretty much trashed.
Working on a deal for a S&S carb and some needed trim parts
I bought an S&S cheap clone off E Bay for like $50. It might not be polished like the real one but it works. I did have to swap out the fuel jets from the original to the cheap Chinese to get the jetting right. But it works and its darn cheap.

Awesome job , really liking the white contrast.

Birch White I’m thinking. At some point in history the color changed slightly, so I’m told.

The current paint code is 98628AV Birch White Acrylic Urethane

That’s some street cred.

Bike looks pretty rad.

IMO, better paint would look nicer, this guy seems to deserve it. But, I have to admit it looks better than I would have thought with them mounted.

I think it looks great, but how did you manage to get the beat up weathered look ?
That set was used and painted black over the orig white. I sanded further to get some of the original paint to show. Then sanded with 320 grit. Then used 2 cans of 2 k clear.
