Watching this piece on CNN and it kills me to how this lady in St. Thomas lady is talking about how crazy it's getting there with people getting robbed with guns and knives. She says her landlord brought her a gun, machete, and some wasp spray to protect herself. Sad to live in a place that leaves you helpless.

Highlight was listening to her go on about how people should have a way to protect themselves and Don Lemon did his best to redirect.

Read something the other day that made it sound like it was on the verge of collapse down there. Not good.

Is this a post Irma thing or just the state of affairs down there.

Oooo... A target rich environment. ;)

Roaming gangs robbing and taking what they want due to a collapse in infrastructure and services. Hmmm...

And we prep, because.,...

Because that crap won't cut it on my side of town. Hell, if their roving in groups that makes it easier to spray and pray, I spray, they pray.... or is it prey?? Either way they'll get the message....... 30 rounds at a time.

That's why I'm wanting to get a few drum mags, extended praying sessions ;)

Hahaha wasp spray, because GTFO

Yeah, 20ft range. Yes, it contains nasty chemicals that may be hazardous to human health, but it's readily available and expedient.

Haha. If I get to the point I've got to spray someone with that. The hazard to myself is what I'm worried about. Not theirs :D

And I mean them being hazardous to my health, not the wasp spray.

And it'll spray for at least 30 seconds, compared to those tiny pepper spray bottles that fizz after 3 seconds.
If you're worried about injuries from the hazardous chemicals, just hold a lighter in front of the spraying nozzle. The resulting flame thrower neutralizes the chemicals.

Flaming 20ft. spray foam should be quite entertaining.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to give that a try.

A few years ago my wife and I took a trip to St. John's. The plane from Charlotte lands in St. Thomas and you take a bus across the island to the dock for the ride to St. Johns. What I most remembered about St. Thomas was the level of poverty and the living conditions of the people there. The upper class lives in walled estates or high rises in the city, and the tourist resorts are gorgeous, but in the country side it is pretty bleak. No electricity, no water, no food, desperate people will do desperate things. St. Johns was not so bad, but their entire economy depends on the tourist industry, and from the pictures I have seen that is going to take quite a while to recover.

They may need this for the riots in St. Louis .
