So is the NFA branch at the BATF still up and running during the shutdown? Forms still getting processed hopefully...

Probably not. Can't imagine they're considered "essential". Checks may get cashed since the ATF doesn't handle that part, but I'd guess no movement on any forms.

Surfing around the net and it looks like its confirmed the NFA branch shuts down. Normally these shutdowns don't last long but the D's are digging in. It might be awhile.

I heard that as well. It's contractors that answer the phone, but I'm not sure they'd be working if the examiners weren't.

I've also been told eForm 3s are being approved today.

I was at a PAC meeting today and the first thing someone said was "You know Chad is loving this whole government shutdown". My libertarian views are well known lol. I just said "It's amazing how the country keeps functioning isn't it?"

Yes we have gotten 2 approved Eform 3's approved and emailed today.

Amazing with non essential personnel, if they aren't essential then they can go private sector and there are the budget cuts!
