Grandsons first fish

Yesterday was the Cherokee kids trout derby. I had to be out oftown, so daughters went in my place. Conner caught his limit of 5 fish. All about a pound, largest was 1.14 . Have not heard how many kids participated. Free event, free pole, breakfast, lunch, thousands of dollars of door prises, trophies for each age group.
Made a great supper with hush puppies and cold slaw.I
Wish I could have been there. He is 5.

Congrats. My parents started me fishing when I was still in a stroller. Nothing I love more now than being on the water.

I’m heading for a trout fishing expedition in the morning. I can’t wait to get to take my grandson! I start babysitting him next week when his mom starts back to school. He rotten now, after hanging with Granddad all week, he’ll be rottener!
