Here's a question to all the home builders out there. Do you put aeroshell or some other grease on your buffer tube threads and/or the castlenut threads when assembling an AR lower?

I’ve built a couple before without using it and didn’t have any issues, but I recently bought some aeroshell to use in my future builds. Per mil spec you’re suppose to use it and it’s really cheap, so I figured I may as well get some and use it from now on.

No grease. I don’t stake or loctite them either and never had one loosen on me.

I stake the castle nut with a cheap ass $3.00 spring loaded punch from harbor freight.
