Toddler Forced to Wet Herself After Airline Refuses Access to Bathroom

Money quote:

Making matters worse, the little girl had to sit in her wet seat for the rest of the flight. What kind of nonsense is this? I am reminded of a gas station that refused to allow my sister to use the bathroom at around the same age. My grandmother, who was taking her on a trip, had her go number two right there on the gas station property and left it there for them as a thank you. It was an extreme response to an unnecessary denial of service. My sister, to this day, is mortified by that story. Airlines are asking for it if they start denying children the right to relieve themselves. They can't hold it. It's not possible for a small child to do. And is anyone in business class really bothered by a toddler using their super special bathroom? Maybe the flight attendant should have taken a poll by a show of hands of who in business would object to a little girl relieving her bladder in their bathroom.

Ridiculous. Is that what we've come to now? It used to be that almost everyone would bend over backward to help a child, no matter the issue.

My home state has a law on the books that says if you are denied the use of restroom facilities, you are entitled to do your business anywhere you choose in that establishment.

Wonder if that applies to airplanes in that airspace?

I made my last flight 2 weeks ago after moving my daughter and 3 G-kids to Lafayette, La
What a bunch of A-holes you have to deal with just to get home
I had not flown in over 15 years and now I remember why

But those are the rules as passed down by somebody in "authority" and it is your job as a subject to obey. Failure to obey will result in "law enforcement" being summed to make you do so against your will, violently if necessary. Your compliance is compulsory.

It is my job as a free man to challenge and defy stupid s41t, like that rule and the "authority" that put it in place.

I flew with my newly potty trained three year old a couple months back. We were near the front but not first class. Flight attendants on both flights were happy to accommodate him by allowing use of the first class restroom. Of course I did ask ahead of time as I got on the plane and it wasn't Air Canada...

They usually explain it away as "security" instead of the actual answer of "elitism". See a bad guy could escort the child up to the bathroom at the front as a trick, getting him (or her, sorry, forgot about the female terrorists) close to the cockpit door so he can, uh, do whatever. If you ask "what if a bad guy just bought a business/first class ticket and was sitting right there all along?", they'll get all "it's against security policy" on you because there is no answer for that question that makes sense.

Security has been the magic catch all buzz word they nobody questions for the last 16 years. The in,y thing is anyone with even a modicum of real security knowledge can see through the theater and will likely find it very offensive.
