Great Song From The Early '70's

Love this song... quote it all the time... "clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right..."

Some amazing music was made during the period.
1970

Funny story about why they're all laughing. The photographer was an ass and they were unable to get a decent shot. Duane's dealer walked up, Duane jumped up from the shoot, grabbed an 8-ball from the dealer, pissed off the photographer again, they were all laughing while he's holding it in his lap. Photographer took the shot and walked off.

Ahhh ... back when concerts were about music! They were musicians not performers who had to have gimmicks and auto tune. As crazy as it sounds I’d listen to disco before what they pass of today as music.

I already posted America's Tin Man song. I forgot all about their Ventura Highway song. I was nine years old in '72 but I liked a lot of these old songs and still do.

Saw that live at Park Center in Charlotte during their ‘73 Dark Side of the Moon tour. ...And in quadraphonic.
Whoa, the colors, man.

Hahaha!!! I took a bit too readily to amateur pharmacology & not sure I'd have survived the '70's if I'd been 10 years older. The '80's were bad enough ;)

Here's one whose title describes my situation at the current moment.:D

Huge Styx fan & the dude that replaced Dennis DeYoung is really good.

From '78, but still fun-

No offense to Beetles fans but notice how I haven't posted any songs from them? They had a few that I liked but not many.

This old and still going group however, I love every one of their songs. Here's one of my favorites:

Charlie Watts looks hilarious with that long hair behind the drums.

I saw them in Charlotte in 1972 on the Exile On Main Street tour, pretty much at the height of their powers. Some clown in the front row hit Jagger in the mouth with a cup of ice right at the start of the show. He backed up and vamped for a moment and then as the band played "Sweet Virginia" he pointed at the dude on the chorus: 'Got to scrape that [ excrement] right off your shoes'. It was definitely one of the highlights of my concert going days.

The Stones are by far my favorite. Believe it or not, I've never smoked pot or done any drugs other than beer. Probably sounds strange coming from a Stones fan.:D

This one blew my mind the first time I heard it. One of my dad's friends had one of those stereo egg chairs back when & I would crank the hell out of this.
