Dazed and Confused was supposedly set in the period when I was in high school. THere was no blurry line between jocks/cheerleaders and the heads at my high school. Red Dawn is just the best Dont EFF with us movie of all time.

Most adults forget what it’s like or because we survived it and realize how trivial most of it was we forget what it felt like at the time with that hormone cocktail making us blind.

My son is 12 and I’m trying to give him advice now and prepare him for what is coming. Advice and info I never got.

Like it is going to feel like you are alone. That you are the first and only person to feel these feelings or to love that girl that way etc.

But you’re not. Every single adult on the planet felt exactly the same way.

The hardest thing is that kids don't usually listen, even good ones. They're just too deep in their own heads to have perspective. All you can do is try to keep comms open and be honest.
