Green is the new brass

Well new leather cartridge belt turned em green in a month or two. Does humidity cause this or what?

Humidity and the tanning chemicals cause it. I think you have to have vegetable tanned leather to keep that from happening. The chrome tanned leather will hurt most metals.

I think I've read that nickeled brass tolerates leather cartridge loops better than brass.

That is correct Sir . I never use any thing but veggie tan leather.
