I'm in Durham, new to having a greenhouse. and put up a 10x20 greenhouse with a 12' peak. I have electricity out to it so active cooling is reasonable but do I need to go to the expense? I'd like to see how you guys are handling it and thoughts on performance versus cost.

Short video of the space. Don't judge me by the music.

We lift the sides of our hoop houses to about 5' off the ground, and open doors on each end. It gets hot at the top, but stays cool below 6'.

I have nothing to add, never had a GH... Following with interest

If your roof is that tall and the greenhouse is that small, a box fan will work wonders pulling hot hair out. Side curtains also work wonders.

Do you do that every day this time of year?

Yes, we've been opening them every day it gets up to 40F all winter. When there is no chance of freezing, we leave 'em open.
