Greensboro ranked #3 as hate live rock music

First, rap is not music. It’s a spelling mistake derived from the words crap and rape.
Second, define “rock” music, or even specify the performers? If I were to judge, I would say my biggest preference is for rock, more specificity gothic or symphonic metal, which outside of the wanna be Evanesance, you never hear on any commercial broadcasts. I think in part the RIAA, which declared war on the consumer, wanting millions of dollars for things like a toddler dancing in a home video to a particular song helped the industry slice its throat. Speaking of commercial broadcasts, the “rock” stations are a syndicated and just rebroadcast the same 30 odd songs, mostly from the 70s and 80s to where there is no point in listening to it. Music stores are a thing of the past and it’s all moved online. It’s become very niche and if you can identify that which you like, there are a plethora of options available on the cheap.

The conventional industry, though, as it was in decades past, is dead.

The part about rap is hilarious.

My favorite music is country. It's hard to find it now a days.

Yep, still a lot of great music being made, get outside of your comfort zone and check out random bands youve never heard of.

Also, I wonder if the ranking (Ive not viewed the link) is based on the big, coliseum concerts.
Have you priced these things? They're expensive as hell. Sure, people dont want to spend 75 bucks on a ticket, another 20 to park, and then be offered a $40 tee shirt...
BOGUS.

Satellite radio is pretty good for finding good music. I listen to pod cast or npr about 90% of the time if I dont listen to satellite radio.

I listen to Iheartradio 107.9 KBPI Rocks the Rockies!

Not iheartradio ,but Rock 105.5 WXQR in Jacksonville, NC is good too.

I wish we had a real Hard Rock station here in the Piedmont of NC. 105.7 has a few good days. They play Queen way too much.... I think 99.7 has that covered.
106.5 is a waste of good airtime, Hipster BS station.

100.3 The Buzzard was the bomb, then they became The Buzz. That format got moved to 105.7 a couple years later. 100.7 out of Raleigh is okay, but the reception ain't the greatest out here.

From what I've seen, Greensboro ain't exactly conducive to seeing live music. Saw Blackberry Smoke at CDEC recently & what a crampy, poorly designed/laid out music venue.
