That's a nice setup for the pouches, but I personally wouldn't store a rifle like that in a vehicle. Unless EVERY single time you got out of the vehicle, you moved it to somewhere out of sight, but then what's the point? it's not like you can employ it from that position that much more quicker than if it were just kept out of site to begin with.
Gotcha. Pretty neat set up then.I dont plan on keeping the rifle there unless it is to go hunting or range type trips. Other than that it will be kept in case, etc. It was just to show how it could be mounted if you choose to use need that option. If you needed to deploy it from the drivers seat you would just need to change it over to the passenger seat.

I like to stand 'em up along the B post, barrel through a loop hangin' from the upper seat belt anchor, with a flower in the muzzle. Works good for carbines that don't go above the bottom of the rear window (like an AK or AR).
