tl;dw: thread adapter to a common interrupted thread (CAM-LOK) to share a single booster with multiple hosts. Interrupted thread allows for quick detach. I'm kind of surprised this wasn't a thing already considering interrupted threads have been around since 1845. This seems like a potential game changer.

  • 17-4 ss, nitrided
  • Adapter uses 3/4" socket flats for torque wrench application
  • taper lock in front of interrupted threads
  • booster/housing has options for all griffin models, sico/rugged/dead air(odessa), cgs, AAC Tirant, DA ghost/wolfman
  • $79 – pistons $59 - adapters
  • Thread pitches supported:
    • 1/2x28
    • 1/2x28 special (compact 9mm handguns, ex: G43 , Sig P365, etc. )
    • 13.5x1 LH metric
    • .578x28
    • 16x1 LH
    • 16x1 RH
    • 9/16x24
  • there's a disclaimer on the product page. I'm not sure of the reasoning yet:

Use of the CAM-LOK™ system with a fixed spacer on a fixed barrel firearm will cause damage to the suppressor. This is for use on handguns with title barrel pistols only such as Glock, HK, SIG, 1911, S&W M&P....etc. A fixed firearm would be a 9mm carbine (PCC), a bolt action, etc.

Unless you lock the piston on a fixed barrel gun it will damage the suppressor eventually. You can do that with a spacer.

Right but they say using a spacer on a fixed barrel will damage the suppressor.

So what is so different about this piston and cam lock vs a normal threaded piston that will cause damage to a can?

Shouldnt be any different but they do use an interrupted thread that may not be able to handle the torque load. It is like getting by with 1/2 the threads and there arent many to begin with at that.

Reply from one of the GA guys:

I think the idea is we don’t want our customers running them fixed barrel on 5.56mm guns and stuff you can do with the optimus and Bushwhacker cans as well as hybrid .46 and others. That probably would over stress the system.

I got some recently. The threads are a little beefier than I expected. It pokes out a wee bit past the end of the muzzle too. Piston fit my ghost once it was lubed but it was a tight fit. It's definitely nice not spending 5 min threading a can on and off again
