Many of you will be firing up the grills today to celebrate a great holiday. This is a reminder that there is only one acceptable way to make hot dogs with a couple exceptions and this is it.

The meat must be equal length or greater than bun.
The pickle can be substituted for relish.
Under no circumstances may the mustard be switched for fancy ass Dijon mustard.
Ketchup = antifa
Sourkraut is a must, but can be mixed with grilled onions if you're genetically less than 50% eastern block.

If you haven't discovered potato rolls the buy Martin rolls and thank me later

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful 241st brexit day.

People with Chicago roots might disagree with you ever so slightly.

Hot dogs! The most expensive ones down to the cheap red ones made with slaughter house floor sweepings, I like them all.

No chilli? This thread is #fakenews

If you need Chili then you're breaking rule 1 and you don't have enough meat in the hot dog. Try upgrading to a brat keep that canned chili crap outta the kitchen.

How 'bout we stop the chili bashing and turn to the perennial debate over "beans or no beans"?

Looking for the unlike button now. :mad:

I'll settle for chili, mustard, and onions please.

When I'm feeling fancy I like the wrap that dog in bacon and deep fry till crisp then cover with chili, mustard and onions.

There's a diner in Charlottesville VA called "The White Spot" that had a Bacon Cheedar Dog. The slice a dog open and place some cheedar cheese in it then wrap with 2 pieces of bacon........deep fry till crisp and serve with Chili, mustard, and onions. If I had to have a last meal that and a side of chili cheese fries might be mine!

The only way to make a hot dog is to slather it in homemade baked beans...make you slap your grandma.

My two basic hot dogs: (1) mustard and sauerkraut, (2) mustard and cole slaw. Occasionally I'll eat one with mustard, chili (real chili, not that watery "chili hot dog sauce" that comes in a little can), and onion. But as with pizza, I'm always open to trying someone else's favorite combination of toppings. :)

My chili is homemade and it's oustanding!! You can truly put it on anything!!!
