Guaranteed Top 10 Finish...

Your red dot is offset on the wrong side. That's gonna slow you down....
Maybe he’s right handed and being considerate of others and making sure he throws the brass downwards

That could work. Not well mind you, but it could work..
Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt

On a serious note, an aftermarket mount can shave some ounces there. I love ACOGs but the factory mounts are heavier than they need to be.

Weight is what started me on this. My Vortex PST 1-4 is a pig in its ADM mount. I switched to ACOG plus red dot and shaved nearly 1/2 pound.

Mostly I wanted to just try this setup out. I’m a middle of the pack guy with no delusions of winning, so it’s all just giggles for me.

An ACOG, Sig P320 x5, Glock 43 ? What’s next, you going to go vegan ?
You haven’t been paying attention, next he’ll decide to be the man with one gun. Probably a revolver in 44 mag.

To be fair to myself….I have a net loss of 5 guns this year. So, think of these new acquisitions as refining, not adding.

I have ADM QD mounts on both of mine and way more compact/lighter footprint than factory. And yeah I 100% agree an ACOG in any mount is gonna be lighter than any LPVO.

Serious comment, take some dark tape with you to the range. In direct sun the acog can be uncomfortably bright.

What is/was your use case? SHTF, SD/HD, competitions?
I was running it at the range - moving between 200yd long range / 50' short range. 18.5" bbl - scope was a Luepold Mark AR. Bifocals, old eyes, and considering my AO is urban, with a LOTTA terrain features and elevation change (from the ROOF, I have - MAYBE - 200 yards for a maximum distance shot, where the target can be POSITIVELY ID'd!), the LPVO made MORE sense for me. Now I also have four other dedicated AR's in the 14.7 - 16" range set up strictly for CQB as well. This 18.5" is really my go-to for "long" range work - 200yards +/-

In some other places I've lived - ne IN, eastern KY, ne MS, east TX, piedmont of NC, even Columbia, SC - offset might've worked better, with flatter terrain. Pittsburgh's kinda funky, in that, between the urban nature of the place, and elevation change, I have rifle setups I've NEVER owned anywhere else.

As an example, here's a picture of the city a LOTTA people are familiar with (I live about 4 miles south of this picture):

This is from the top of Mt. Washington, just south of the city (at the Incline Railroad depot).

"The Point" is there, where the Monongahela River (foreground) merges with the Allegheny River (above, left), to make the Ohio River. The drop from the fence, to the river, is 400', in about a quarter mile of run. And depending on WHERE you are, that's not uncommon throughout the city, ESPECIALLY the South Hills!

To thine own terrain be true. To my nearsighted / bifocaled eyes as well.

That’s a lotta words to say “SD/HD”. 😝 😝 😝
