Did anyone hear about this before hurricane Florence?

The article says:
In a last-minute decision, the North Carolina town Leland reversed their temporary ban on the “transportation or possession, or the sale or purchase of any dangerous weapon or substance, while off one’s own premises.”

I like this part:
Leland revised the policy, saying “...This prohibition and restriction does not apply to lawfully possessed firearms or ammunition.”
“So, due the hurricane, unlawfully possessed firearms and ammunition are now doubly-unlawful,” asked one person on the Leland Facebook page. “Brilliant.”

Since I’m not at a computer I can’t dump a bunch of facepalm memes.

I’m not saying everything I do is the correct and the proper way, but it’s like saying they passed another law to whatever making it unlawful to murder someone

GRNC sent out one of their “look at us!” Emails saying they contacted the Leland gov to straighten them out.

Kudos for that.

GRNC does great work, no doubt. But the tone of their communications rub me wrong.

Buccaneer Gun Club just down the road from Leland in Brunswick county has a pretty astute and 2A supporting membership. Hopefully someone laid into the local municipality at the local level.

Obligatory reference to "Double Secret Probation!"

My response would be something akin to "I don't think I'm going to let you arrest us today, Behan"
