I watched this last night on the device that shall not be named.
To watch this sequel you have to put out of your mind that the other 4or 5 sequel movies have been made.
With that being said, either I've become totally jaded to the Halloween films or it was just bad, take your pick. Made it all the way through the movie, but it.was just a rehash of the same old Jason with a knife crap. Didn't find it scary or the least bit interesting.
I see that it's doing well at the box office, biggest opening for a film with a lead actress over fifty ever, now how deep did they have to dig to come up with that statistic.

It was BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD. I expected a corn-fest...but at least Rob Zombie made good casting choices.

Rehiring the original Michael Myers was absolutely stupid. Dumb. Romanticized beyond reality.

He LOOKED frail. I have a good friend who is older, but he is still a competitive powerlifter and still kicks ass. Michael Myers as played by Nick Castle carried himself like he was 152 years old. The previous Myers was physically imposing and could emit body language that kjust oozed malice. Nick Castle? His fight scenes looked like the victims crashed their own heads into walls. When you looked at him your subconscious mind told you he was frail and no threat...the old michael myers played by Tyler Mane triggered that "danger" mode in your subconscious and made your sphincter tighten a bit when he stepped in the restroom stall.
