Handgun Compensators

Snake oil or works?
Snake oil ish unless you are using a hot (generally a slow or medium powder producing alot of gas) enough to "work" the comp.

Minor muzzle control maybe felt with a standard factory round.

I wouldn't recommend one for anything other than a competition pistol. I have one on my open Glock and one on my steel optics 22/45. They help with keeping the pistol "flat".

I have never understood why people want them on a carry gun tho. Have you ever fired a comped pistol at night! Lol definitely lights you the world ;)

They work. Slacker refused to believe it until the CostaComp set him straight!
They work best with Major, but factory ammo will work a comp if it is designed right.

I think it's ridiculous for a carry gun, but that just my opinion. Those Roland special things are goofy, lol.

But they look awesome! Lol
I shoot in open minor ( just really started) but I load from for mine using HS6 using max normal load. Hs6 makes alot of gas to help the comp out. The gun shoots pretty flat.

Well, your gun makes sense to me, lol. The wacky paint and look are perfect for open.

Edit: "wacky" means cool and out there to me. Didn't mean to imply anything bad. You've seen my g19 I think and I would consider that wacky as well, heh.

Somebody needs to photoshop The Costa (Mr. Costa to you, the capitol letters are there cuz chuck norris calls him sensei) with a Glock 42. Maybe needs a thumbrest and laser as well. Or/and one of those fancy Steiner boxes/dealies that fit on a rifle in front of the scope that does something utterly mysterious. So it will be just a littler more specialer than a a Roland special. Call it the Slacker Special. (Wanted to call it Rolaids Special, but didn't want to imply slacker is old or has stomach problems).

Needs a can though because Slacker will stick a can on anything that isn't bolted down! You pass out at his place and you wake up threaded.

My only experience with a ported/compensated pistol was with a Glock 22C??? (.40 S&W), and it made a noticable difference. Recoil felt more like a 9mm imo.
