Hey everyone! Hawks Ridge Steel will host a half day open range/practice shoot on Sunday, June 10. Cost is $30 per shooter and the range will open at 12:00 sharp and close at 4:00 PM. We will run the line hot and cold at certain intervals and ALL RANGE RULES apply. All rifles must be in a safe condition unless on the firing line. Safe condition = no bolts, no magazines, no loaded rounds, and or must have empty chamber flag. We will have at least 15 targets of various sizes available at all ranges from 450 to 1,050 yds. We will also have multiple prone positions, benches, barriers, barricades, tank traps, barrels, etc for you to use. Come and join the fun, practice and get your dope in advance of the next match. Stay tuned for next match date in late July.

For 30 debtbux apiece, there ought to be a bigger than 4 hour window. Wonder if the price is same for any of us who bought memberships?

Anybody tag @VA_GENTLEMAN yet?

I have been watching!.. 6/10 is doable, but we have the TSC .22 Match in Conover on 6/9... (Which I expect to see you guys there :) )

I am thinking about it, have to see what the youngin wants to do.. she has a busy day that day with the .22 TSC match, then the Journey and Def Leppard Concert that night.. (I ain't going to that.. that is a family women's excursion).

I'll see what happens!

How about a 100yd target for zero check? I have a new optic to try out. (Edit to add: I can bring one if space is similar to last time, and it don't upset other plans)

Planning on getting some preachin' beforehand, but looking forward to it.

Yeah. 100 yd target should be no problem at all!

I will say shooting competition is way harder then laying prone and sending bullets down range. I only missed a couple times today but there was hardly any wind crazy considering there were storms all around us. Nukeman and his buddy impressed me the most banging steel at 1000 yards with m1 Garand with iron sights those boys can shoot.

That is impressive.

Jeff good to see you again today we all had a great day at Hawks Ridge. Hardly any wind and my 8 year old hit at 1016 yards today one proud daddy here boys. He also wore steel out at 560 yards all day.

I think everyone cheered when your boy hit that long shot. Heck, his face when he hit that 100 yd gong and it looped all the way around itself was priceless! I said, "Who hit that?" And he turned around with a huge smile. Makes you feel good...

I uploaded it, but didn't check audio because I'm already in the bed and the wife is asleep. All complaints about quality and the fact it was shot vertically can be directed to @nature boy!!
