Rep. John Lewis to undergo treatment for stage 4 pancreatic cancer

"I will return to Washington in coming days to continue our work and begin my treatment plan, which will occur over the next several weeks," he said

Why? Because in Oregon, anyone on thre state Medicaid plan would be denied all treatment since pancreatic cancer has <5% avg 5yr survival rates.
But the cover a doctor murdering the patient at 100%.

The complete lives program from Mr. Emmanuel is just awesome for the dirt people. But the chosen ones need not worry about it. I have my thoughts on Mr. Lewis has bigger problems than my dreams.

States doesn't stop people to pay for treatment in others ways. What's the problem? I do not see any lines in the Bill of Rights that says medical care is a right.

Its not about rights. Its about hypocrisy. Its about some politicians and bureaucrat deciding who gets financial assistance and who doesn't. Who gave them that right? You can bet they have different insurance plans than ordinary folks.
I wonder if denying medical insurance coverage is somehow infringing on the right to life which IS guaranteed? Might that actually be a legal question?

Actually, both Medicare and Medicaid make it illegal for any doctor to accept cash or any other form of payment for a treatment denied by Medicare and Medicaid.
Only private insurance can't prevent you from paying cash.

Many doctors don't take Medicare / Medicaid patients. I believe these "Concierge" physicians can be paid cash directly for their services. I'm not sure how this works with hospital services like surgery or chemo.
