A long-time member of the Carolina Shooters Club and a number of other forums. Didn't know this forum existed until I got a message from majicmike. (He told me a while back, and I got busy and forgot to follow up.)

I shoot most often at The Shooter's Lodge in the Forbush area of Yadkin Co., but live in Winston-Salem.

Married, wife, son who is a NC State Trooper, and a grandson. Am a Vietnam era vet (USAF), and retired (after a long career at Wachovia). Love handguns, and have a few nice ones.

Look forward to visiting here, regularly.

Welcome to the forum

Welcome to CFF!!

Welcome, we're happy to have you with us. A work of caution, any more mention of @Majicmike will destroy any credibility that you have.

Hey Walt. Glad to see you here. I have bought some ammo from you in the past and my mother-in-law lives in your neighborhood (plus I know your next door neighbor pretty well)

If you've read any of my posts on the the CSC, my credibility is probably pretty bad, anyway.

Is that ZACH? Or Jim? I won't hold it against you, in either case.

If it wasn't for Walt I may have never known what the greatest EDC of all time is. To this day I still carry a PF9 I got for him a few years back.

Bout time you made it

Greetings Walt and welcome to CFF! Happy to have you here.

And I like the SR9c I got from Majicmike even more. Unlike him, I didn't have the nerves in my shooting hand surgically removed -- arguably necessary for most folks to comfortably shoot the PF9.

I've had a number of Kel-Tecs, and they've all been reliable and pretty functional. I think my favorite is the Kel-Tec PMR-30. (It's light enough for concealed carry, shoots like a LASER, but a bit big for pocket carry. In a pinch I'd consider it for self-defense. 30 rounds of .22 magnum, in a gun that is fantastically accurate, is unusual. The noise is something else! As is the fireball! You need ammo designed for handguns, or the fireball is even BIGGER!)
