Pullout force for plywood is much much higher than for OSB. I’d use ply where you think you might be mounting stuff to it rather than through it to studs. I’ve mounted sheets of ply over drywall to have flexibility (drywall was here before me).
Oh, and decided to try dies in a toolbox drawer, think I like.
