Help me pimp out a CZ Scorpion *now talking optics*

You need to check out the holosun or primaryarms microdot. Your wallet with thank me.

I agree on the Primary Arms micro (or the real deal - Aimpoint H1/T1). IMO the PRO is too big and clunky on a small PCC.

The PA micros are small and cheap, I have four or five (shotgun, MPX SBR, Beretta CX4 SBR and maybe a couple on ARs). In my experience they aren't nearly as rugged as the H1s I have on several ARs. I've replaced a couple that stopped working and the one on my shotgun intermittently stops working.

I also have a PRO that I tried on my MPX but it looks huge on the MPX.

I agree that the PRO looks too big and clunky, but my eyes really do need something with a bigger objective than most micros. As much as I tried, I just couldnt get myself trained up with the TRS-25 I had.
I did see an internet pic of an Evo with a Spitfire on a low mount on it. Didnt look half bad.
Im really leaning towards something holographic/reflexive like the eotech 512/518 (or clones) if I can find someone to let me put my peepers through one so I can get a feel for that type of optic before I commit. The Spirfire would be a close second, and the PRO dead last. Its only included because I have two already on other things and I know what Im getting into with it.

Micros work best with both eyes open. If you're looking thru it like a scope it seems small bit with both eyes open the Bindon Aiming Concept proves true.

I do keep both eyes open, even with my PRO'S.
Maybe its a mental block, but I really cant seem to use a micro

You should pick up one of the RMRs that's on sale for $350 from Cabelas. I have one coming to replace my MRO on my Scorpion. LOVE the MRO so much I am going to swap it over to one of my ARs and get the RMR on the Scorpion.

You had to remind me didn't you!

Ok, gents...and ladies, too...I've picked up quite a few pieces and parts for the Scorpion and I have SBR/supressor paperwork started.
Now, on to another big piece...optics. I have had several different optics on other rifles/carbines and have found I prefer 30mm objectives (like the Aimpoint PRO ) over 25mm objectives (like the TRS-25). Even though I have never used a holographic (like Eotech 512/518), I am open to them, as well. If you run an Eotech or similar, would you be willing to meet me sometime for a trial run on your gun? Of course, I will provide my own ammo and you can be my guest at my local range, so no range fees for you. All it will cost you is a little drive time and some fun lol.
So, the big consideration for me is going to be co-witnessing with the Evo's iron sights. If your recommendation is a tubular design, is there a low mount available to allow cowitnessing?
Not particularly looking for magnified optics, either.

The few I'm looking hard at are:
Aimpoint PRO with low mount
Eotech 512/518
Vortex Spitfire 1x

What are you gents running, and why?
Are there any others the hive mind thinks I should look at?

I'm running AR-15 HK style iron sights on mine. To me it's primarily a CQB sub-gun, although you can certainly reach out to 100yds with 9mm.

I run a 1-6x Vortex Strike Eagle on my JP GMR-13 9mm, but that is a full sized AR-15 platform. The EVO needs something sleek and compact.

Did you decide on an optic? Thoughts on the aimpoint pro?

Been hittin him up lol. His distributors are out of the Holosun I want from him. He's supposed to have me on the list for one when he gets them in.
Do tell! I need something for my cz scorpion and for my ar15 SBR that cowitness with irons.

The Aimpoint is a bit chunky on that rifle, imo.
I think Im gonna go with the Holoson 510c. It has the reticle I want and from what Ive read it cowitnesses with the Scorpions factory sights.
I have two PRO's...one on a 556 SBR and one on a 300BLK SBR. Cowitnesses perfectly on both those and I love the optic. Rugged as hell, haven't turned em off in over a year, and have held zero since the day I dialed them in.

The Burris Fastfire 2 is perfect for this application. Its small, compact, lightweight, co-wintnesses and fits the general look and profile of the pistol perfecttly.

I keep forgetting to take pics of mine now with the RMR on it. I'll try to remember tonight.

Here you go. Yes I just grabbed the gun from it's safe spot in my bedroom and took pics in the bathroom. You can see the RMR on the CZ customs mount and the factory pistol sights perfectly co-witness.
