Help on an old Winchester Model 59

Does anyone around the Charlotte area know of a good gunsmith in the area? Have an only Model 59 given to me by my grandfather and I am trying to get it back into good shooting condition.

The model 59 is one strange gun considering it was introduced in 1960. You need a gunsmith that is very familiar with them. If it still shoots I'd clean it and leave it be.

I got one from a widow who was getting rid of her late husband's guns. I gave her a very fair price for it. I took it out to the farm to shoot it and noticed that the receiver was cracked just in front of the loading gate. I have since heard that a cracked receiver was a fairly common problem with these guns. It is something you might want to check.
