Good buddy of mine lives in NH and is getting his first suppressor. The shop he purchased the suppressor from hasn't been very helpful and only one person does the nfa paperwork for the shop so getting clear answers has been a nightmare. Apparently now he has to schedule a phone call with the shop owner to certify his eform paperwork before they will submit it. Is this normal?

He has been given the run around on things because the shop owner only works weekdays and his weekend employees don't know anything.

The remote certification is something new with the F4 being available in EForms. It’s only available for those filing as an entity. If filing as an individual, you’re supposed to be there in person.

Not a big surprise (just disappointing) that only one person handles the NFA stuff. It’s not as difficult as a lot of places try to make you believe.

He's filing with a single shot trust, is the remote certification required? He used the SS kiosk in the shop to do his fingerprints and all the paperwork except the image he did on his cell phone.

He's wondering if this is the cherry ontop of a crap show or if this is an ATF required thing.

Required.

He has to enter his EForms account info as the transferee. He is not supposed to just give it to them to enter.

I appreciate it, he's been trying to get paperwork submitted since late January. He's the first one of our group of friends to do eform so we were not really sure how to direct him.
