Got a used Heritage 22 mag and the shot casings get stuck when I try to push them out with the eject rod. Have cleaned and ran a brush thru multiple times and cleaned It thoroughly. Any advice as to what to do next to get the spent ammo casings to come out with the rod vs a pair of pliers?

First question. Are you sure it is a magnum cyl? Second question does this happen on all the holes or just certain ones in the cylinder.

If cleaning didn't help try polishing the holes. Might be a burr in there or just hard to clean gunk.

Pictures of the cylinder might help.

Have you contacted Heritage, maybe their customer service or warranty will help. Interested because I have one but not fired it yet.

Not yet. I bought it at a gun show used a while back. Gonna try polishing it tonight and will post what outcome is.

Maybe try some different ammo also.

Definitely try some different ammo as others have mentioned. I had a brick of armscor that was hot stuff. Would lock up two different NAA revolvers. Would run through an Ruger American 22 mag and eject fine but you could tell it was over loaded.

The CCI came out easier though. Got a dremel and gonna try to find a small enough polishing wheel to get in and try that now. I did notice on a couple of the spent shells a few markings.AC874D1C-EECB-4B76-B4B7-416E577A8AA4.jpegE4198DDA-79D1-4FC8-A4BE-C6FEFAED85B3.jpeg

What Schattenreiter said. Slow and easy will help keep you from making a big mistake.

i had the same issue with my 22 lr cylinder. I hand polished and it would just slick it up for a little while but it never really functioned properly. I set it in my safe until one day i was looking on their website and realized i could order a new cylinder for 30 bucks shipped...did that and havent had a problem since....im not sure about how their supplies are with the current climate but it arrived in a few days

Thanks for the info just got off the phone with Heritage. After weighing the options purchased the same cylinder for $30 free shipping. Gonna continue working on this one. Thanks everyone for your feedback!

Got the new cylinder for the 22 mag and shoots and ejects perfectly. Gonna continue to work on the old one to see what I can do. Thanks for all the feed back!
