At the Hickory Convention Center off Exit 125 off I-40. I'll have the kiddos there with me. Usually is a pretty good show for us. @knifeman32 (Backwoods Bang Shop) and his lovely family are usually there. Who else is going?
 
Me and a buddy might come. How big is it? Heā€™s wanting to fondle a bunch of handguns and make his mind up on what he wants

It is between 400 and 500 tables. There are usually some big dealers there with large inventories of new guns. Also a pretty good mix of used guns. It is one of my favorite shows.

I'm planning on going in the morning, I'll probably be carrying around a 1904 Tula M91 and a sportered 1915 Izhevsk M91.
 
Surprisingly, ARs were not outrageously expensive at the Asheville show last weekend. I mean, they were "gun show" priced, but not $1,500.
 
We will be there at the Backwoods Bang Shop booth as always. I'm a bit under the weather but I'll make it. Drop by and see us.
 
This is probably my favorite local (somewhat local) show. But, will not likely make it this weekend. Too damned busy lately.

If this is your favorite, suddenly I'm interested. Should I trust myself with nobody to keep me in check? :confused:
 
Iā€™m going this morning, Saturday. Anyone want to say hello just PM me and Iā€™ll check after I get to the show. Iā€™ll be there from 10:00 till maybe 2:00. Iā€™ve only met two guys on the site so it would be nice to know a few more. Donā€™t be skeared.

Phew. Too many people have no compunctions about personal space. If anybody with a table was lacking business, let me know, and I can bring along the two dozen clowns that were up my a-hole at every table where I stopped.
 
Sunday the vendor numbers had dropped by about 40 as I was told. I did not see a number of vendors I had planned to visit. Plenty of mouth breathers looking today but didnā€™t see a lot of purchases. I bought three items none of which I went to see.
 
Unless tables were re-arranged on saturday night, I did not see where 40 vendors were missing.
I saw maybe 3 tables on one aisle empty....
 
The show was alright. Nothing special. I did see a 19x for $549 cash. several glocks in the $425-450 range.. 2 vendors doing nice shooting targets.

I thought the show was very thin but it was Sunday so maybe it was less vendors. I noticed several tables with no one at them.. looks like maybe yesterday they setup but not today.

Handed out several business cards and noticed a increase in the YouTube followers this evening so they must be people from the show.

Couldnā€™t find a full rail RIA in 9mm or a mini desert eagle in 9mm.
 
I didnā€™t go to the show, but was talking to a friend at church this morning who said he found a great deal on a XD he was looking for.

He said the place he bought it from was way cheaper than everyone else. I asked him if the name of the place happened to be the backwoods bang shop and sure enough it was.
I havenā€™t been to a show in several years but I know where Iā€™ll look first when I do.
