So I kinda got sucked into the roller cult and really want a 556 HK33. The problem, I cant find anyone making a HK33 clone. I would love to have a real HK33 but im not slapping down 5 grand for one and most of the clones are ridiculously over priced since they arnt in production. $1500 for a Century C93 that is questionable at best. I heard MKE will start importing HK33s through Century like the AP5 some time next year but Centuary will probably revert to clown prices of 2,000+ and monkey around with them to get complience. I know Atlantic has CETME Ls for 1,400 but the Spanish had allot of issues with them and dropped them quick. In short, anyone got a scoop on any HK33 clone production?

PTR was making them. And they’re good to go.

Use machining and blueprints from HK that they paid for.

At least I think they did. They made the x39 version and the 8 inch barrel versions for sure. Ptr 32 and 54 I think.

Upon researching further they put them out for preorder and never made them.

I have a PTR 101 that I love but isnt the 32 a 762x39 not 556? I couldnt find a 556 version or else I would allready have one to my FFL lol

Yea. Sorry I wasn’t clearer. That’s what I meant by the x39.

I remember seeing all kinds of buzz about a 5.56 version. Thought they’d gone through but looks like I was wrong.

I’ve had several of the full and short barreled 308’s.

FWIW my C93 has been solid. From what I've read, PTR had a hand in these despite the Century name. The gun definitely scratches the itch without that insane HK pricetag.

I'm confused.

The HK33 is a select fire weapon. You're not finding one of those for 5K.

If you want the semi auto version, you want an HK 93.

I think Century pawned ~800 receivers to PTR and they built them even though they carry the C93 moniker. So if you have a later model you have a PTR 556.... Lucky

Of course, its like talking about a G3 when your really talking about a HK 91. Who am I Walt Disney I cant afford a pre ban auto sear rifle.

I have a PTR built c93. Totally lucked out and snagged it from buds when they got their last few in.
Mine is really nice compared to Century c93s that I have handled. Finish is nice, factory german mag lock up is tight, but doesnt need hammering in. Sights are straight as well.
If you can score one, go for it.

ETA: reciever is stamped century c93 fwiw, and did come with a century printed user manual.

I saw the shoot show pics and that's probably my best hope. Like I said though I hope Century doesnt pull what they did with ap5 and price it 2000+. Do you know if they are importing them as rifles or pistols?

I assume they would go the pistol route, but after the latest batch of H&K MR223A3's got denied import I'm skeptical.

Both rifle and pistols can be seen here...not sure which will be available end of the day tho

I have an HK93 and a Century C93 that runs fine, but I haven't put too many rounds through it or shot it for accuracy.

What is the differences/how would I know if my Century is a PTR build or not?

From what ive seen the easiest way to tell is check if you have a gernade launcher lug. If you have one its a Century if not its probably a PTR. The other option is email PTR, they have the serials on file since they came with a lifetime warranty.

Mom can we get a HK 33?

Mom: We have HK 33 at home

New PTR 63...... This is aweful and they have the balls to charge $1800. I hate it here.

Ironically, I watched this last night.

'HK rifles in the safe, these for the range.'

There seems to be a more traditional option in the works. - "...pretty darn close."

Not close enough for me.

"...this, of course, wants me want to throw up." :p

Anyone tried a CETME L made by MARCOLMAR? That many be my only 556 roller option at this point. I heard they are not dogwater like the Spanish originals but ide like an opinion thats not bought and paid for.
