I just purchased/received a brand new Ruger New Vaquero 357/38 special 5-1/2 inch barrel, and am looking for a new leather holster, knowing there are several holster makers in the CFF community. I want a cowboy/western looking holster that will attach to a @gunbelt belt, or similar belt. Not looking for the entire rig. I already have a cowboy action shooting rig with two holsters and belt, but it is for 4-5/8 inch Ruger barrels. This is the first 5-1/2 inch Ruger that I have owned. Looking for recommendations from the group. I have seen posts regarding @chiefjason and @gunbelt and have seen posts showing their excellent workmanship, but not sure if they do cowboy/western holsters. Thanks in advance for your advice. I will attach a pic of my new Ruger below.IMG_20200422_114816398.jpg

If no one here can make one, Jackson Leather in Asheville has made several for me over the years. This one is for a SAA Colt with 7 1/2 inch barrel. I’ve got one they made for a 4 5/8 Ruger but don’t have pictures of it. Both of these are more of the John Wayne type straight belts. Both are lined with a soft buffalo skin and are sweet! Expensive but sweet!

Don't do the cowboy stuff. Mainly because folks start talking belts and ammo loops. Handstitching belts is no fun but I do it occasionally. Most folks just don't want to pay for the work. Or find someone with a machine that does it cheaper.
