I've always bought holsters and run them in that fashion. I had an early Raven Phantom that had the wings for IWB and OWB kydex loops, but other than that, if I had a holster that I didn't like because of the clips, it was either sold or thrown into " the box".
I have never thought about changing to different clips. Different posts here and ARFCOM had made me rethink it. And trimming/grinding clips to prevent digging into skin/better grips.
For example:

I got an INCOG in a trade, and tried it AIWB, no-go for this fatty. Tried it at 330-400, where I normally carry and it printed like a mother. And this is with a M&P9c!
Changed the clips to my KTMECH holster and the full size dissappeared. Uploaded the pictures below.
What holster modifications have you done for better carry, concealment, and comfort?
