Seems like the magnets would eventually rub a hole in your clothing.

If it did it would not be the magnets doing it. Looks like they are embedded between the layers of leather. Cool idea actually. I've seen magnets replacing snaps on some holsters too. Leather body seemed a bit soft for my taste, but if it's IWB then it would not be too bad. Probably need it thin to get the flap to fold well and the magnets to work through the leather.

I would also wonder how strong the magnets are to be able to hold through a pair or jeans or work pants and still have enough power to hold during a panicked fast draw

I'm sure they use the rare earth magnets. If they are large enough, it's not a problem. I ordered some to try in snaps. I can't even get them apart. Lol
