I modeled this after some you tube videos, particularly those done by Mathias Wandel.
I used a five gallon Bucket, and a 30 gallon plastic drum coupled to my shop vac.
Seems to be working very well, and almost nothing gets into the shop vac.
I cut a circle out of the drum lid to partially slide the bucket down into the barrel,
I heat the end of the 2" PVC and flare it with the shop vac hose so the hose plugs into the PVC

I cut the PVC on an angle and cut a slot for it to insert into the bucket

Here is the shop vac hooked up, the suction line comes out of the center of the bucket. Sawdust swirls around inside the bucket and falls into the drum while the air flow is sucked into the vac. almost nothing makes it to the vac filter .

first leg to the radial arm saw. Still have to complete the canopy so everything goes in the collector.
I used a part of the shop vac attachments for a "funnel" to catch the sawdust coming off the blade.
There is a sliding blast gate that can be opened and closed in the drop from the main line. I'll get some closeups and post it later.

I epoxied a machine screw to the top of the fittings for the other tool stations, and made blast gates out of Lexan. They pivot out of the way to plug a hose into the system and when you pull the hose out the pivot drops and shuts it off.
the Lexan is light and flexible enough that when the shop vac is turned on they suck right up to the fitting and create a tight seal

More to come when I get it completed.

Nice. I have an Oneida Dust Deputy bolted to the side of my shop vac for work. It's amazing how well it works. Look forward to seeing your finished product...
