Honey Badger Clone in the Making, under $1k! **Completed**

Holla at me. I'll be your guest haha
Anyone is welcome to join me when I go but I'll ridicule the hell out of you and escort you to the front gate if you muzzle sweep me or are super weird haha.

Seriously tho, I've got 4 coworkers from "anti-gun tree hugger" to "new to sport, wish I could shoot more" that will be joining me the next handful of times, plus a couple of the wife's friends after that. I try to get .22's and AR's in as many hands as possible to at least sway them neutral.
If you want to check out PHA, go to one of the matches. I love the 2 gun tactical match.

Super wierd :D

I've shot quite a few 2 gun matches at PHA. Need to make another one soon

How do you like the SB PDW brace/stock as of today?
It's great, 3 position, quite comfortable, decent enough cheek weld considering the metal rails, solid feel, extends quickly and smoothly. My only complaint is the collapsing could be a little faster, less cumbersome, due to the positioning of the lever. Minor complaint, though. For $200 it's not bad at all and is excellent if you're opposed to SBR'ing for some reason.

Since you quoted that line, I'll mention that I just bought the M4E1 lower to match my upper and will be SBR'ing it asap. I'll grab either the BAD VERT or the Honey Badger universal stock if it's released by then and not $500.

Did you look at https://www.maximdefense.com/ ? They sure look expensive, but apparently are well liked.
Yup, we briefly discussed their brace on page 1 and they actually make the SB PDW for SB Tac, but there are a couple things I dislike about it the Maxim.

As @Gear Head mentioned they use proprietary captured spring & buffer, they're just as much $ as the BAD Vert, they're longer than the BAD, heavier than the BAD, and frankly I think the BAD Vert is a much cooler stock especially with the carbon fiber cheek piece.
If you're talking about the Maxim brace, I don't think the extra $100 is worth it over the SB PDW.

Yep. Have a sbpdw brace now and a pending form 1. Have a random stock in the safe but will probably pick up a pdw stock for cool points
I'm going to be doing a PDW stock on my 9mm when the Form 1 comes back on it. Trying to find a nice option that is compatible with the JP SCS...

Maxim. Or wait until SB releases the Honey Badger Pistol brace.

Still a brace. Still a pen-stroke away from ban due to practical functionality.
This is one of the reasons I'm SBR'ing this build. I'll still probably keep a braced pistol or 2, but I know I want this gun for the long haul so SBR it is.

Sba3 will be the brace I'm using! Came in today, feels soooo much better than the sbpdw. Borrowed an upper since I haven't finished building the fde upper yet

Please elaborate! I am looking at the sbpdw, but if the sba3 is that much better and for less money... ;)

Don't get me wrong, I love how the pdw looks with the external rails. But the sba3 is way more comfortable on the shoulder. When I shoulder the pdw unless I get it just right I can feel the wings of the brace when I pull the gun into shoulder. The sba3 feels way more stock-like when I do the same.

And the sba3 is easily adjusted with one hand. The pdw, not so much.

can't conceal an SBR legally in NC. Throw it up on the dash when you get pulled over I guess.
Haha, you confused me for a second... I was using "long haul" figuratively. However, should I want a truck gun, that is one reason I will keep a braced pistol.

Awesome! Thanks for the post!!! I have been debating about a 300 and I think you just pushed me over the edge:)
