I have a Horus Blackbird II optic that I picked up as NOS. Love this reticle. In the center of the reticle is a dot which will illuminate if you want it to. The dot has moved slightly up and to the right. Not a huge deal, but of course it would be better if it were just right.

Horus is not Horus anymore. They are owned by a holding company, and the Blackbird II is not a current product, so the current company will not help with servicing this scope.

Is anyone aware of a company who services all manner of optics who might be able to correct this issue?

Thanks!

Any help with this topic? I like the H59 reticle, but the dot having moved is a little annoying.

Learned that for the reticle is on the first focal plane and the dot is in the second, and floats as you zoom in, which is when the reticle is more useful.

I know someone who used this service for an old scope and was pleased:

I think the problem you are going to run into is, like old computers, the cost of repair may exceed the value of the scope. That is a really, really good optic; again, like computers, today's $400 scope will out perform yesteryear's $1,200 optic.

That said, if I was in the market for another optic, I'd snap it up in a heartbeat.
