Hotel/motel recomendations for Asheboro/Franklinville area

Taking the USPSA RO class first weekend of August, and that's far enough from home that i'll need to get a room for at least Sat night if not Friday night.
So any recommendations as to a good hotel/motels nearby to CGGR, as well as food recommendations and "places to avoid on both counts" would be appreciated.

There’s a Days Inn in Siler City. It’s normally quiet. And there’s several places to eat right around it including a couple Mexican Restaurants- San Felipe’s and Compadres. An Elizabeths pizza, Waffle House, Smithfield’s BBQ, Wendy’s, Bojangles, McDs, Burger King all within a mile of the hotel. And it’s only about 15 mins from the range

I always try to stay at a Hilton just because I'm an honors member, but, if you want to know everything before you start your course, you could stay at the Holiday Inn Express. LOL
