How are you cheap?

Um, I've got lotsa hair*, wanna trade for a holster? Win - win sitiation.

*It might not all be head hair. Prolly still good for fiber reinforcement if you're makin yer own plas - I mean, polymer for holsters.

Google the liquid laundry detergent.

Basically washing soda, borax, bar laundry soap. Grate the bar soap. Dissolve in 2qt. hot water in a pan on the stove. Add 2gal of warn water to dissolved bar soap in 5 gallon bucket. Mix in 1 cup borax and 1 cup washing soda. Add.another 2.5 cal of water. Mix well and sit aside for.a day or so. Take and mix one to one with water and you have your detergent. Each run makes 10 gallons. Use in laundry like the brand name stuff. You'll be quick.to realize you re paying a lot for a little soap and some water buying store stuff.

I troll for targets when I go to the range. Most folk leave targets (paper or shoot-n-c) with only a few bullet holes in them or the occasional clean target. I peel them off and use pasters to cover the holes. There always seems to be an endless supply at the range...

The only target I buy are the NRA official targets for competition practice but I’ll make those last forever by pasting holes over and over
I also troll for targets, or the little round stickies used to cover holes in targets. Seems like lots of people use the targets and throw away the stickies. I put them on paper plates for super cheap targets.

Basically echo what everyone else has said. It’s just my wife and I currently so pretty easy to not waste food. We go once a week and get what we need for that week as far as fresh foods. We eat that over the next week and then buy more the following. We plan out our meals and try to cook the most we can at home. We also clean out the freezer every few months. Sometimes our meals are quite interesting once The freezer gets low. Equals very little waste with expired food. Usually I bring lunches with me during the work day and we might eat out once or twice in the weekend.

I grew up in a house where my mom would spend $400+a week on groceries. Half of it would go bad sitting in the refrigerator. I can’t stand waste like that. Might as well throw your money in the trash can.

My mom was also really bad about buying “deals”. I’m all about buying something at a good price if it holds its value, will be used a ton or is worth more than I’m paying for it long term. That said she was notorious for buying “deals” on “stuff” she didn’t need. Just because something is $300 off it doesn’t mean you need it. You still spent $200 on something you didn’t need. That’s just wasteful. She is better than she used to be but still loves to shop.

Before I buy anything I do my research and make sure what I’m buying is of good quality and not junk. I also consider how many times ill use that item. If it’s $100 and I’m only using it two times that’s a cost of $50 per use. Might or not be high depending on the item. Just how my brain works though.
