This is me and Mrs. The Road's setup. I would have to guess the popper is from the mid 1960's - it was my family's when I was growing up. Before my mother passed, she promised my wife that we would inherit it and it has served us faithfully ever since. We enjoy it frequently and hope to pass it along to one of our kids a long, long time from now...

Kirkland microwave popcorn.
I add a mix I make that has grated parmesan cheese, ground cayenne pepper, ground jalapeno powder, and garlic powder.
Spicy.
I bring a small bag of the mix when I go to the movies.

We use an old wok. Works great and you can pop a lot of corn at once. Might have to check out one of those microwave poppers though.

Hot air popper here. Somewhere we have a steel one with a crank handle for stirring the kernels but that only gets used about once a year.

Regular Large Pot and Lid.
Though, using the Wok I should try.

I have a plastic microwave popping bowl. I put it with a third cup of popcorns tablespoon of real butter, dash of salt and nuke it for 3-3 1/2 minutes.

You have to transfer the corn to another bowl immediately or it will scorch.

I have this one, too, and it works pretty well. It replaced an old Orville Redenbacher popper that required you to buy special "power cups" that tended to burn the popcorn and damage the popper.

I had a purpose built popper at one time and I think we had a stove top one and a pug in. Then there was the micro wave purpose built and then the air popper. Now on Keto diet so no popcorn for me. I really liked popcorn, pasta, bread, potatoes, potato chips, corn chips, corn, bread, ice cream, sugar, cup cakes...ARGH!

I throw the bag in the microwave
Hit "Popcorn"
Wait
Remove burned bag
Throw another bag in
Hit popcorn
Listen to the kernels pop like a safe cracker waiting for the pin drop
Remove popcorn
Burn fingers opening bag
Profit

Presto Hot air popper and Trader Joe's organic popping corn. Sprinkle a little nutritional yeast on top.
I also use this corn to make cornbread. Put corn in Vita Mix and grind until a fine powder. Sift through a fine mesh steel strainer/sifter and repeat. Makes the MOST flavorful corn bread on earth.

I use a large hand hammered wok that my stepson bought me for Christmas a couple a years ago. He got the exact one that I picked out and sent him the info on. :D If it's movie weekend and we're having popcorn for dinner, we break out the wok.

I have had several of the old school Mirro electrical popcorn poppers over the last thirty or more years. I think they're great. Unfortunately, if you find one for sale these days, they're either worn out or NOS in a box with a hefty price tag.
