As a responsible gun owner, I have never shot anyone and have gone 9,678 days without shooting an innocent civilian? I expect my streak to last as long as I do...

I feel terrible for all innocent victims of gun violence and want solutions to prevent and mitigate future attacks but wonder why I should face more restrictions for the heinous actions of others. shouldn't I get some credit for my past performance?

How many days for you?

I had to edit 'cause I'm moron and put in the wrong date...I mean the date from which you first owned a firearm, not your birthdate

Over 32 years. The first time I shot a real gun (my fathers Ruger mini-14) was in 1986. I still have that gun, and in that 33 years, its never harmed anyone, and neither have any of my other firearms.

I am IMPRESSED at how you all resist the "urges" sent out by the firearms.

EVERYONE knows that if you have/own a gun will cause you to go crazy and make you kill.

How many of you look like Golem?

If shooting out lightbulbs in the attic with a Sears air rifle in 1967-68 then stepping on the glass barefoot doesn't count, I'm at around
18,980 give or take six months.

Basement windows, assorted plastic model cars and airplanes, the particularly challenging to hit model rockets or rocket powered Matchbox cars, etc. also definitely do not count. For instance.

Been keeping a shotgun in the closet for about 10220 days.

I was in the single digits when dad trusted me enough to keep it.
