I'm just curious what the mean inventory is. I just completed counting and, aside from a few partial box 'strays', I currently am storing 11,350 rounds which, on sober reflection, seems like it's less than it should be. How about you?

I might be overthinking it, but I'm not real fond of inventory questions on an indexed and searchable website.
I'm curious as to why -- asking for information, not looking for an argument. :)

I work in the field of information security. As a hobby, I enjoy OSINT, aka open source intelligence. It's fun to sleuth around on the interwebs to see what you can learn about folks, like connecting the online county sheriff's list of arrests for the year and cross referencing that to your neighbors. Another example is that when my wife and I looked at buying a house earlier this year, I built complete social and professional profiles of all the sellers.
I wanted to know about the person so I would have a better idea of how they maintained the home. I also wanted to know any contributing factors that would make them more eager to sell.

I know what I can do - purely as a hobby. I don't like the thought of GIVING more easy access to what I do with my time and money to people who might want to do harm to me and my family. Harm takes many forms beyond physical, including identity theft and character assassination.

I still have a few boxes from before Sandy Hook, haven’t bought any in years, might have to remedy that in the new year.

But for sake of discussion, I pick up a box or two of Aguila whenever I find it on sale. I buy Eley once in a blue moon.

11,000 rds left from the 12,000 I won at the Raleigh Friends of the NRA raffle four years ago.
4,000 rds CCI from a promo sale last year
Bucket of Remington from last year promo because you can never have enough. ;)

Lots of people are just real nervous about giving out information about their guns and ammo
Me, just enough to need a comma.

With the possible exception of buying, selling, fixing, modifying, or just posting pictures of them, I guess. :D

I'm with you, only without puctuation.

You’re scaring me.

These people are so paranoid on here. I like to buy in bulk since you can get a better rate. Grabbed two boxes the other day to go with the two boxes I already had. If my math is right it should give me 200 rounds. ;)

I have enough to get me through several years.

I don't have any more .22 ammo. Sold it all. Sold all of my .22 rifles and pistols, too. I think it's an anemic cartridge, and not worth the trouble. I'll focus on the couple hundred reloadable 30-30 rounds I have for deer hunting.

I have 6000 rounds of SK Standard+ that I am giving away a brick at a time as door prizes at the DPRC Precision Rimfire match tomorrow (among other things).
I might have a little more around here somewhere in case I ever need to shoot some.
