Customer brought this in to me...quit working after the second shot.

The piston came off the oprod tube.

Then I inspected it and found all sorts of issues. Including short chamber... yikes.

Needless to say he's sending it back to the builder for a full refund.

Be careful out there... even from "reputable" garand people.

could that be one of the welded trigger groups like dupage it selling?
Probably..lots of drill rifle parts on this including the gas cylinder and trigger housing.

The stock is someone's rejects...the pads for the trigger guard are horrible. I was waving at people thru the gap!

Soon as he gets a refund I'm going to build him one from scratch.
That guy's website is just a circle jerk of his own collection and selling off his CMP purchased rejects.
Why would anyone trust gunsmithing to someone in New Jersey?
 
Sad to see he's reduced himself to this, I remember Tony being a stand up guy. Those pictures made me cringe.........
