What are some simple tricks to get an odor out of plastics?
Got some ozark trial bottles and the lids have an odor due to me leaving something (ie: tea, coffee) in them too long.

Post if it works.

White Vinegar will often help take odors out of the rooms, fabrics and surfaces. Some people will make a past with vinegar, lemon and baking soda.

Ballistol will make anything smell like Ballistol?

Wash in hot soapy water. Rinse and repeat. If it still has an odor sprinkle coffee grounds (fresh ones not used) inside while it is still damp and put the lid on. Wait 30 minutes or so and rinse. That should take out any remaining odor.

This with hot water and dish soap is my go to. If it doesn't work for me it goes in the trash

I’ve never had much luck with permanently getting rid of odors in plastic. Once it’s there it’s there.

The best I’ve been able to do is tame the odor and then mask it with something else that I don’t mind.

So scrubbing with bacon soda paste and hot water and then rubbing it down with vanilla extract is what I usually do. Works great on coolers.

Soak it in Clorox solution for a couple days. Worked for coolers in the past or atleast it smelled cleaner.

Don't mean to be a smart azz but this is the only thing I've found to remove odors from plastic.
