Got these as an upgrade to my blackhawk double pistol pouch. Is it juat me or are they kind of a pita to re insert the mags? Am I missing something? Was doing some dry fire testing them out and to me, my cheap blackhawk holder is kydex and is alot easier to insert. Why do people love the hsgi so much?

I dont have an issue with mine. Rock them right in as you would a mag into a magwell. It helps to leave the mags in them for a few weeks to break them in.
The appeal is I can run multiple different types of mags in one holder, unlike kydex.

I think my next set I will run some of the Gcode version, just to try out.

Because I’ve carried mine to a combat zone and I don’t want cheap junk that falls apart on me in the middle of shooting at someone. I’ve carried HSGI since almost it came out. I used in when I was still on Active Duty, and I still use it now. It’s good stuff that I don’t have to keep changing for different calibers and configurations. It’s expensive but buy once, cry once!

I don't consider reholstering mags when shopping for mag holders. I consider how well it holds up and does the job...

I only have a couple of the HSGI tacos and I don't have any issues though...

Stretch them out. Shove something bigger in the pouch and leave it for a while. Don't leave them empty.

Well I ordered a double pistol taco and two rifle tacos last night. Should be here Wednesday and plan to run them Saturday. :)

Built out the belt and the tacos are great! Thanks for the recommendation.

For anyone looking at the HSGI tacos, the Wilder Tactical universal mag pouches are pretty awesome though they are for overt carry only.
