Anyone here able and willing or know of anyone that will change a frequency or two on a vhf HT-1000 for me?

I'm in the Wilmington area but willing to ship, travel or try the CFF relay to get it done.

Thanks,

I had to send mine to Florida to get programmed I couldn’t get anyone local to touch it. It is narrow banded like it legally should be but they are great radios.

Johnny, are you using this for Amateur comms or for public service?

It was my FD radio, transitioning it to amateur. I have 1 freq I need to monitor along with changing NWS channel.

I've got a cable otw, gonna give it a try.

I know some folks down there in the VHF association, pm me and let me know if you cant get it done and I'll ask around if anyone has the software to do it.

I'm not a big motorola guy, great products but they make it hard for folks like us to utilize their products. HT1000 is a great radio though, used them for years at the FD.

I ran across this thread.

I can program the HT1000's. I need to check my old laptop to make sure its still working when I get back home Friday.

This series radio is on the DOS operating system. You can't use a DOS box in windows ,it will Brick the radio. I've used a computer as fast as a Pentium 1, 166mhz and its been ok . A computer that's too fast will also Brick the radio. I wish I would have saved more of the old machines.
