So I always hesitate to bash a company but I am putting out more of a be forewarned. I installed 4 Hyve industries extension on 17 round glock mags. I installed one on a shield .40 mag (one of my carry guns) and I also installed a hyve trigger in a glock 19. The trigger did not function after install and I had to send it back, which they replaced. But now...... ever single Glock mag has failed. Granted they haven't been shot in about a year. I did use them and had no issues and they sat loaded. I had one fail when I finally got to use it. So I checked the other two. Sure enough, failure on each. The follower seems to catch and turn binding in the magazine. I checked the shield which has been shot more and no issue on it but I may swap it out anyway. I just want you all to have a heads up.

I’ve never had any issues with anything Hyve. You may want to give them a call, I’m pretty sure they would take care of you. Seems to be a pretty good group running that place.

I have only used the HYVE extensions on G42 and G43 mags and never had any problems at all. I've never used them on double stack mags.

I haven’t shot my G43 in almost two years. All mags have Hyve extensions. I’ll peel them off today and see what happens.

I've only bought magazine release buttons from them, but haven't put them in yet. (In red and purple, to bling up the G19 a bit.)

How does a magazine extension cause the follower to stick? Was the follower also replaced? Do the magazines work properly again if you reinstall factory parts? I am surprised you can see the magazine springs in those pictures. It almost looks as if there are singles stack followers in double stack magazines.

It's not terribly uncommon for followers or springs to hang up on the transition from ext to mag if it's a big enough extension or ugly enough transition.

OP's looks like the springs didn't stack in a nice column and migrated between the follower and body.

Glock double stack followers are only about 3/4 the width of the mag body. ETS more like 2/3. The top few coils are skinnier to accommodate it.

I will need to dig out the factory springs and plates. These were the original followers from the Glock mags.

No issues on mine and I don't foresee having any. I also think single stack are probably ok but on my shield, i now will carry the hyve extended as the spare where i did have it as primary.

Yep my bad i just took one apart and its skinny as described. The spring locks into the follower. Check that yours are installed properly.
