I am trying to stay in the lower pricing tiers.

I have heard very good things about the Taurus c-29. Any feedback?
I have had a shield and did not like it at all.
I already know about HiPoints (unlike some here, I really like them... built like a brick and impossible to break.. ugly as sin)
I have a few Caniks, but the reputation has gotten out and now people snatch them up quick. I love them.

Does anyone have comments/recommendations?

What about the Caniks? I fondled one at my LGS and when I asked why it was still available, he said, "Well, it's from Turkey." I asked, because he was out of everything else.

Do I need to go back and get it?

Edit: Never mind. He done sold it since I was out there Friday.

I agree with you about the Canik. Solid low cost performing hand guns but the the new models are trending up in price. Buy the older versions and hold them. Sub $300.

Definitely! Have 1. A Friend has 2. Another friend has 2. Great guns. Good price. Easy to flip for profit, not that I ever sell anything...lol

I have a TP9SF. My favorite gun at the range. included lock, case, back straps, cleaning rod, and holster. Yes favorite over Dan Wesson, CZs, Glocks, and others I have to shoot. Not one failure to fire or any other issue for somewhere over 1800 rounds. If I needed one gun on a sub $499.00 limited budget this would be my first choice.

Good luck buying guns now.

I got curious yesterday and checked Davidson's Gallery of Guns for in-stock 9mm semi-autos. Davidson catalogs 1,748 9mm semi-autos but only had 16 models in stock, 15 of which were priced over $1K.

i love my taurus g2c...got it in Feb for $215. They just came out with it's predecessor, the g3c which has some improvements but i think the cost is a little higher. If you're wanting a full size the regular G3 is a great option too.

I recently purchased a handgun that I have been very surprised with. It is a SAR BP6. Mine is the compact model. It is a CZ clone with a polymer frame. They are $300 or less normally, but covid pricing may have higher than normal. It is Turkish made. I have had no problems with it.
I also have a CZ999. This is much like a SIG P226 in operation. It is a very well built pistol and of Serbian manufacture made by the Zastava company. Built like a tank and accurate.

Police trade-in Glock 22s and Glock 23s seem to be a solid value if you don't mind .40.
Even if you do buy a conversion barrel and a couple of mags. Then you can shoot either when you find some cheap ammo.

The Ruger P-95 and its variants are floating around usually really reasonable. I have a P-93dc that eats everything I throw at it and shoots as good as I do.

Dang. I'm looking at the g2c now and one of go to sites for best prices shows $247.00, but with free shipping.

I humbly admit that I bought a Tisas (Turkey) 1911. Damn thang ain’t missed a beat in around 1k rounds with a mixture of probably 50+ different oddball ammo brands I found laying around, hardball and HP.
