I despise spiders

Wife Opened the mail box the other day to find a nice note from the mail lady.

It said would please remove the black widow spider from your mailbox for our safety with a smiley face.

So I go open the box and see nothing look up under the lid and find one of these about the size of the end of my finger staring at me.

Needless to say when i took a stick to kill it about 25 little ones went ever where so the mail box got a good bug spraying to get rid of them after killing then large one.

Should've had LeeRoy, or whatever that fools name is, go get it. He'd probably eat it. Crazy bastard

Hello, Army Surplus? Do you have a functioning flame thrower for sale or rent?

I opted for pump up sprayer with bifren inside for this one. It seemed to cost less and be effective at long range on the little ones.

Yep... I would have shut the mailbox door and burned it to the ground.

I used to hate spiders. As long as they are non-venomous, I’m OK with them now. They can get out there and vacuum up some skeeters and such.

This is currently running a huge web, from gutters to concrete of my garage. Its huge, hairy and if it stays on its side of the driveway, I won't have to drawdown.

Those guys are ok in my book. They usually dismantle their webs in the morning and hunting all night.

Got one just like that operating on my back patio. As long as she stays out of the way we're good.

We live out in the country and our front porch sometimes looks like a warzone. I constantly dust with diatemcious earth.

While I don't know the correct name for them, the ones I call "frost spiders" are out in force. Was walking my dog last night and saw several of them with webs hanging from trees around the edge of my yard.

They're brown orb weavers, about the size of a quarter, and they usually take their webs down in the morning, and put them back up each evening.

I don't like them much because if you walk under a tree in the dark at my place, chances are you're going to end up with it on your face.

Ran into one while mowing on Friday...right at face height...centered it.

They definitely keep the bugs at bay and with 3 or 4 of them the front is almost bug free. As long as they stay out of the dang doorway I'm good.

Dear lord. I just opened the door to let the dogs out. About walked into this...

^^^^This is a Garden Spider, writing spider or zipper spider. From the zipper like design in the web.

^^^^This is an orb weaver. We have a pet on on the back porch. If I can catch stuff I throw it in the web to feed him. It's a big fat one at this point.

I leave both of them alone. If you hunt or trout fish you just get used to spider webs to the face.

I went deer hunting with my brother in the swamps around Charleston, SC several years ago.... we were headed out to our stand while it was still dark. I ran into one of the biggest spiderwebs I never did see but, felt the giant spider's eight legs crawling up my chest towards my face. I never beat my chest so hard in my life... or so rapidly! We never did see a deer that day...

WTF... It looks like the thing from Aliens that attaches itself to your face and lays eggs in your stomach.
Shoot it!
