I Drink My Coffee Black

Don't even need to watch this clip to agree with "I drink my coffee black". Only democrats and metro types do any different.
Ok boomer.

I won't let anyone peer pressure me into drinking black coffee.

it ain't about peer pressure, it's about self respect

And any place that serves coffee bad enough that you need cream/sugar also has no self respect

I’m a new coffee drinker. I don’t mind the frozen milkshake coffee things that are available or some of the whipped up creamy latte drinks. They are like desserts to me. Plain coffee is what I usually drink though.

Just me, but any additives only serve to mask and ruin the taste of coffee straight.

Well, I don't think coffee "straight" tastes very good. But I do like it with splenda added. As long as I'm the only one who tastes my coffee, I'll fix it my way.

In fact, I think I'll go have another cup right now.

EDIT:
Coffee - black. Cowboy-style.
Whiskey - neat.
Just like God made 'em ...

I drink Grandma lite as my kids call it.

Used to drink it black but as I have ever things changed.

When I drink I drink it neat. I never mix it. If I did not like the taste I would not drink it.

I see you too use milk...… I never drank a cup til I was 50ish. Still working towards less stuff in it.
Funny you say milk and not creamer. Youre right though!

When I first started it was a lot of cream and a lot of sugar.
Now it's rarely got sugar in it.
But still put creamer in...or, when Im at home, 2%

God didn't make'em.
If he had they woulda been together.
lol
Well, if I have to mix them, coffee with a shot of whiskey and a splash of kahlua isn't too bad.

As previously mentioned, if coffee isn't great, or old, I might put in a dash of creamer just to cut the bitter/oxidation taste down. sugar... not usually.
if I gotta go fancy, mint mocha, half syrup, no whip, and with soy milk (you'll thank me for that later in the car)

I was at church one Saturday morning years ago for the monthly men’s breakfast. One of the old deacons was in the kitchen cooking eggs, and only a few guys had arrived yet. They had coffee on out in the dining room but no fixin’s.

I stepped back in the kitchen and said, “Mr. Moore, do you know where we keep the cream and sugar?”
He looked up from the eggs cooking, and just stared at me for a minute.
Then said, “This is a men’s breakfast.”

:D

Some folks drink black "coffee" like it's a manly punishment or something... Some of the freeze dried sawdust y'all old timers especially drink is barely coffee by definition, and tastes as bad...

Personally, I drink coffee many ways. I will drink good beans or espresso black on occasion, but I love some half-and-half or heavy cream. A good breve, latte, or cafe con leche is a magical thing and does nothing to degrade a quality cup of joe. I do want my coffee hot and I don't care for any of that flavor crap. Those are caffeinated milkshakes. I also don't care for sweeteners... I'm sweet enough...

I had a great uncle, a dairy farmer, would would put just about any dairy product into his coffee. I'd seen him put buttermilk, butter, butterfat, hot milk right out the teat, and all kinds of other craziness to cover up the burnt to hell coffee they always had around.

Either/or, but percolated or cowboy style.

I drink it more as tradition, habit, and comfort. I probably couldn't taste the difference in gas station sludge, instant, or $200 coffee. I've been drinking coffee the same way since I was somewhere in my teens. I'll do half and half, heavy whipping cream, or milk (or Bailey's), but I ain't using that damn coconut/soy sludge creamer, and sugar in coffee is an abomination.

I dont see myself ever ordering this for a variety of reasons.
I'll get a hot chocolate occasionally.
well i'm horribly addicted to caffeine. and also horribly sensitive to lactose.
I used to spend a lot of time at a coffee shop chain, where they always had a "buy 10 drinks and your 11th is free" deal. So I'd refill my 32oz coffee mug for $1 with their house brew 10 times, then on the 11th i might get an expensive drink as a treat. very often I'd just let it ride and save the free drink for a guest. besides, a 2 shot espresso-based drink has less than half the caffeine as my regular big mugs (which I usually fill at least 3x a day, plus whatever else I feel like drinking)...

Funny that black coffee is a thing, but that most sweeten their tea.

I don’t sweeten either, although as a youngster I would order iced coffee “Boston” which was dbl cream dbl sugar. I no longer drink any cold coffee products but I have tried the Nitro from starbucks and it’s interesting, I’d love to try that process with better coffee.

yep. no matter how long i live down here i'll always be some kind of northerner because i do not drink sweet tea.
still not decided on nitro coffee. I use an aero press, which works fine for one big cup at a time - and that's all i drink before i head off to work. then at work we have a regular bunn drip system and a "mars" pre-ground individual serving packet system that is just incredibly wasteful
