So....I'm a Slinger....lol....been using Sling TV for 3-4 years now. Love it by the way.
I use a RCA flat antenna behind the TV to get the local stations...ABC, NBC, Fox, CBS etc.

Well some stations go in and out....and I ain't having that when I'm trying to enjoy a game.

So I need a new Antenna! I'm thinking of getting one to put in the attic.....then I shouldn't have any trouble.

    Thoughts? Opinions?

    DS

The Amplified antennas that are size of a piece of notebook paper work well..... an outdoor antenna would be even better if that would work for you. NBC recently changed their frequency.... and now it's a bit choppy for me.

We had the Mohu antennas and were happy with them however had the same issue as you, some channels would cut in and out, the other part of the issue was we are in a brick house.
I picked up the 1byOne antenna off Amazon

    https://www.amazon.com/Antenna-1byone-Amplified-Amplifier-Mounting/dp/B01KUXVKK0

I think it was like $40, it works really well, mounted in the attic and used antennaweb.com to figure out what direction to point it to maximize the reception.
We are in Sanford and can get Greensboro TV stations with ease.

Big College fan. I don’t really watch the NFL until the playoffs. Can’t help with a antenna

I have two of them, they're a little bit directional but work pretty good. I'm happy with them.

A couple things I found on the web that helped my reception. Use RG6 cable instead of the RG59 that came with the antenna. Also, strip a piece of copper out of a 12-18" piece of 12/2 or 14/2 house wiring and run it through the two mounting holes in the Mohu.

One more thing, a few stations had a change to their actual broadcast channel last week. Do a re-scan.

I made this with some 12ga. Copper and a stick of wood...
    Works perfect and is directional.

Can you hook 2 of these together?
I live half way between Charlotte and Columbia, so there is a 180 deg split almost between the available broadcasters.

I have NFL Network on sling TV. But it never shows the Panthers games...due to restrictions. Even blacks out other games...

I was having issues with my LG 55” LCD losing signal on local channels. Had been planning to get a new LED for several years and finally bit the bullet over the summer and got a new Visio (wasn’t my 1st choice as I wanted a Samsung but the Visio was a much better bang for the buck for the price I got it for).

Now, none of the channels that used to be choppy have issues and I picked up about 8-10 new channels that I didn’t know existed. Your TV’s receiver plays a big part in it as well, so I’ve learned.

Some stations changed the frequency they broadcast on. I herd you have to relearn or re program your antennas. I dunno. Dont watch tv.

I do that for the Garage TV.
Sometimes it drops a channel and picks up 2 or 3 more.
I dont know if it's the freq. changing or just better reception signal strength
