Looks like pouring rain and thunderstorms between 9am and 3pm in Dunn Saturday... Might be passing on that... I don't even take my kayaks out in the thunder...

Not gonna' lie...that sounds awesome. Running around in the pouring down rain, shooting at bad guys special ops style? Cool

And for the non-gamers, we never get to choose our self-defense scenario, right? lol

You've never seen a truly dirty gun until you shoot a match in the rain.

The challenge is getting pasters to stick, then watching a dozen of them fly off the target when one round hits the cardboard, then trying to score that target.

Oh, and keeping score on paper, too.

That's why I like night matches. I'm not hanging out in the rain looking for gunfights either though...

Yeah. It's not the shooting in the rain. It's managing the mud and wet cardboard and pasters. Plus all my gear getting wet and having to deal with it after. Don't care if my pistol gets wet...

Of course standing in a wet mudpit with a couple pounds of metal on me in a lightning storm doesn't sound too bright either...

There's always that one guy who's going to put a damper on everything... Get it? "Damper"?

Where is the best place to find info on whether or not the match gets cancelled? or will it even be and we will just try and shoot in the rain?

It will be posted here and on H2O's Facebook page.

WX is looking better.

May's match is cancelled due to the weather forecast.

We have 2 matches in June.

June 3rd is the EOD Memorial Match and June 10 is the regular IDPA match, hope to see you at both.

All I see is shadows on the ground from all the bright sun. But the first H2O match I've been off of work for since December has been cancelled for rain. Andy made the right call based on the weather reports...so I call conspiracy within the weatherman community against me. I now move them above "Lawyer" on my list of most hated people.

You and me both! Since today didn't work I'll head over to Wake County Action pistol on Monday. You going?

forecast for Clinton next weekend is sketchy too.

If it is an EOD match, shouldn't y'all hit the targets with grenades or something?
Thats what they look like after I shoot a stage. I don't shoot well, so I shoot a lot.

I'm not hi speed either. This is why I laugh when some of my friends tell me they "aren't good enough to come shoot a competition".

My experience is that no matter how bad I shoot any match, anywhere, there will always be at least 10 people who shoot it worse. That includes the first matches I ever shot.
