If you could only have one.......

The problem with this question is always "what's prompting the 1 gun rule"?

The world is ending and you have time to grab one pistol.... very different choice than "the .gov agrees everyone can have one pistol and carry it with them always everywhere".

Yep. If I have to evacuate and grab some stuff you can be sure I have more than 1 gun. Man has to have some priorities. Now maybe if I am hiking the Appalachian Trail for 6 months I'll take one gun due to weight, but outside of that kind of scenario I want options. And multiple choices.

It's just funnin' that's all. Honestly as my collection of handguns grow, I ask myself which one could I not get rid of no matter? I come down to the Model 64 no dash that I bought last year, just because
I know that Smith and Wesson will never again make something of that quality that everyman can afford. Also, it's as old as me but yet it's probably more capable than I am. Piece of Americana. Accurate. Easy to shoot well.

G27 simply because I can shoot the hell out of it and I enjoying basking in the hatred of the fotay. I like the fact it conceals easily and I can use G22/23 magizines if I dont mind looking urban.

What does looking urban mean?

I'm surprised at yall. As an "only one gun" the Glock 23 beats the pants off the Glock 19 and gives up nothing. 40 S&W, 357SIG, AND 9mm with a few inexpensive parts changes. Since one of the stated reasons for choosing the G19 is aftermarket parts availability well there you go.

Skinny barrel 64s are hard to come by. That gun, just as pictured, would have handled anything I ever really needed a handgun for in all my 70 years.

If I had to carry one hand gun for the rest of my life it would be a colt Python sweetest trigger I ever pulled. But for what I own it would be my glock 17 gen 4.

Man i lucked into this one. A friend of a friend was a security guard in the 70s. I venture it had less than 100rds thru it when I bought. Its had a few hundred handloads since then along with some paint on the ramp and sharpie on the notch. 6 aimed shots for sure

Browning High Power simply because it fits me it comes up to a natural point of aim for me and it runs perfectly and this particular one was built for me!

A 1.5 stack 1911 built for 9x19 - what's not to like?

Of what I own, probably my G23. A little easier to conceal than the G22 & G21, but can also use G22 mags, or the big sticks.

Also have the 40-9 conversion barrel, which is lots of fun with 147gr/silencer/33rd mag.

Hate these type of question, as my answer never changes. My one gun choice would be a 2 1/2" model 19. Small enough it's easy to carry, but feels like a real gun in my hand. In addition, if ever needed I should be able to locate reloads without much trouble.

Are you the new Millie? :D

Ruger 9mm SR1911 lightweight Commander, reasonably priced, reliable, more accurate than I am.. If I had to get rid of everything, it would be the last to go.
As opposed to the OLD Millie????? Yes, it's me, I've missed you all!

speaking of millie... where she been with all the questions lately?
I'm right here! I'm sure more questions will be forthcoming! I'm planning to get a big heavy gun to round things out, so I'll be asking about that.
